皇帝的新衣英文剧本】Characters:

- The Emperor – A proud and vain ruler.

- The Minister – A loyal official who is afraid to speak the truth.

- The Weaver – Two clever tailors who claim to be able to make the finest clothes.

- The Child – A young boy who speaks the truth without fear.

- The People – Citizens of the kingdom.

Scene 1: The Palace Hall

(The Emperor stands in his throne room, surrounded by courtiers and ministers. He is dressed in a simple robe, but he is clearly looking for something more impressive.)

Emperor:

I have heard that there are two weavers in the city who can create the most beautiful cloth in the world. I must see them at once!

Minister:

Your Majesty, they are known for their skill. They say their fabric is so fine that only the most intelligent people can see it. Everyone else will think it’s invisible.

Emperor:

Invisible? That sounds strange, but if it is truly the finest, then I must have it!

(The Minister calls the two weavers into the palace. They enter with a large bundle of cloth.)

Weaver 1:

Your Majesty, we have made a magnificent garment for you. It is woven from the rarest threads and is said to bring great honor to its wearer.

Weaver 2:

Yes, Your Majesty. Only those with true wisdom can see it. Others may not understand its beauty.

Emperor:

I am very wise. I shall try it on immediately.

(The weavers pretend to dress the Emperor, moving their hands as if sewing. The Emperor looks confused, but says nothing.)

Minister:

Your Majesty, how does it look?

Emperor:

It feels... light. Very light. But I am sure it is wonderful.

Minister:

Yes, Your Majesty. Truly magnificent.

Scene 2: The City Square

(The Emperor walks through the square, wearing what appears to be nothing. The people gather around him, trying to appear impressed.)

Person 1:

Look at the Emperor! What a glorious outfit!

Person 2:

He looks like a king! So regal!

Person 3:

But… isn’t he wearing nothing?

Person 4:

No, no, you must be blind. The fabric is invisible to the unwise.

(A child runs up to the Emperor and points at him.)

Child:

The Emperor has no clothes on!

(A silence falls over the crowd. No one dares to speak.)

Emperor:

What did you say?

Child:

You’re not wearing anything!

(The people begin to murmur. Some laugh, others look embarrassed. The Emperor looks down at himself and realizes the truth.)

Emperor:

I… I was tricked. Those weavers were not honest men.

Minister:

Forgive me, Your Majesty. I should have spoken the truth.

Emperor:

No more lies. From now on, I will listen to the truth, even if it is hard to hear.

(The crowd cheers as the Emperor turns back toward the palace.)

Narrator (Voiceover):

And so, the Emperor learned a valuable lesson: sometimes the truth is hidden in the words of a child.
